Q: Why is the map of the Old US so vague?

A: Initially, we didn't want to lock ourselves into specific details (ie, things like Old US state boundaries), but that will be remedied in Expanded Edition (fall '08), which will have a highly detailed map of the Old US.

Q: State Secrets is set in the 2200's. Is it 'futuristic' or not?

A: The setting of State Secrets should be at once bizarre and familiar. Things like jet packs, hover cars, holograms and nano-boosters are common place, and space stations and clones are regularly seen on the news. However, life for the average person is very much the same as it is today. The planets' a bit dirtier, a bit more crowded, societys' a bit meaner, and the 'trickle-down effect' of hi-technology permeates the day-to-day lives of citizens in first world countries, but essentially, the play setting should be nowadays with a twist. We like it because it's immediately accesible to GMs and players alike; the major differences from today are the political/cultural changes, which don't require volumes of expensive supplemental reading to create your own campaign setting.
  Expanded Edition will include a 2013 vs 2213 page to aid players and GMs in getting a feel for the setting.
 

Q: I have a hard time running Supernatural adventures. Are you guys going to put out some supplements?

A: Yes, we are planning a source book called Dark Energy, and several books of adventures with supernatural themes.  However, Expanded Edition will be released in fall of '08, and will include a great deal of information to aid you in smoothly blending the supernatural into your game play.
